Texas Tech Recruiting Class

Once again, from the Dallasnews Recruiting Blog.
Grading the Red Raiders

Today's segment focuses on the Red Raiders:
Final grade: B+
Why?: I know some Aggie fans will disagree with me but I just like the Tech class better than A&M's. Granted, maybe it's because I saw several of these guys play. The top skill players -- Baron Batch, Jamar Wall and Michael Crabtree -- are great prospects alone. But Tech really strengthened things on the offensive and defensive lines, especially if ex-Euless Trinity tackle Ofa Mohetau makes it into school.
Best prospect: Carter athlete Michael Crabtree shot up the state rankings with good reason -- he is going to be a college star. He will switch over to wide receiver, following the lead of current Tech receiver Robert Johnson. He has the size (6-3, 190) and speed to fit right into Mike Leach's offense. Crabtree might help Bobby Knight's team too.
Sleeper: Plainview's Jamar Wall is the one player that Tech coaches can't rave enough about. if you've seen video of Wall, you can tell he has a knack for breaking the first and second tackle.
Pressure is on: Daniel Johnson, DB, Houston Spring Woods. If he can get his test scores, this is a top-15 player in the state.

The #1 rb and a bunch of dingleberries. You know as well as I do that this recruiting battle shouldn't even be close. A&M is next to one of the best recruiting grounds in the state, Houston, and Tech, on a whole, had a better recruiting class. That's just sad. Like a clown crying with a wilted flower sad.
